180 construction fences and 33 aluminium labels, 28 x 60 m, 2002

After more than a year of refurbishment of the Piazza Vittorio Veneto (the largest square in Europe without a monument), the fences surrounding the construction site are reconfigured as a maze. On top of decisions one has to make in space, one is constantly confronted with futile or crucial questions like «Amex or Visa ?», «capitalism or communism ?», «buy or rent ?», «coca or pepsi ?»..
